Erm, not really but things I would check out first are:

Corrupt Harddisk? Maybe the ppc librarys are on corrupt blocks (I know what
I'm on about, no really), which would cause a lot of problems in Workbench,
but not under Linux, I guess... not got APUS running here yet.

Heat, a fan from a PSU mounted behind the tiny little one on the PPC Board
will improve airflow no end, remove any blanking slots from the back of the
tower to increase airflow too, we don't want all this warm air circulating in
the tower, we want to dump it outside.

BVision screws, make sure these haven't come loose.

Oh, and instead of putting a washer between the chip under the heatsink and
the heatsink, which would cause havoc if it fell out, get some Heat Transfer
Compound and use that.

Try the PPC in a different Amiga.
